Bio

Sam is a professional drummer who lives in Seattle, WA. Throughout his career, Sam has performed with many talented musicians including Tito Puente, Paoli Mejias, Steve Guasch, Carlos Cascante, Maelo Ruiz, Willie Mullins and the talented Morales-Matos family of Puerto Rico which includes Jamie, Mariano, Sonja, Rolando and Ricardo. Sam toured for a number of years with Nueva Era, a northwest beloved Salsa band known for its high energy and tight musicianship. He studied at Indiana University and played in the Latin Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Mariano Morales and Dr. David Baker.  He continues to hone his craft studying with Grammy nominated Paoli Mejias and Cuban All Stars drummer, Calixto Oviedo.  Sam can be heard on Johnny Conga's latest CD, "Breaking Skin."  And  Ray Baldwin CD “R Space”.

Forbidden content for an Artist profile
