Kenilworth, NJ - Dark Horse Percussion, a leading provider of custom crafted drums, has announced the launch of their newly designed Web site www.darkhorsepercussion.com.
As part of an overall rebranding campaign and an initiative to better service their customers, the new web site presents a comprehensive view of Dark Horse Percussion's extensive portfolio of custom drums using a clean design and simple navigational flow. The highly functional and mobilely accessible web site is designed to engage users, customers, artists, and fans with the Dark Horse Percussion brand and the artists it supports. The new site also provides immediate access to information on the company's drum products.
To make it easier for customers to fully understand quality and uniqueness of the products, options, and customization offerings, information has been categorized into four top-tier classifications (News, Artist, Products, and Company); each containing a wide spectrum of additional content specific to that category. The new web site offers new "web 2.0" tools that help bridge the help gap between customer and company. Dynamic News display, Artist Spotlight, Gallery Showcase, RSS feeds, full site search, online contact forms, and a Sitemap offer users a variety of methods for delivery of information throughout the site. Additionally, the web site has improved social networking integration with the ability to "share" articles with a variety of social networking sites, links to "follow" or "friend" Dark Horse Percussion's social profiles, as well as read the company's most recent Twitter posts.
Another striking change to the Web site is the addition of informative Roster Artist Profiles which include artist bio, photos, drum setup information, band information, weblinks, videos, and audio. "One of the things I really felt was lacking on our site was a strong Artist Profile page. I find a lot of sites out there focusing on what they are doing for the drummer." says Anthony Cartinella, Owner and Builder for Dark Horse Percussion. "There's a lot of 'here's the kit we made for this drummer, here's a little photo of him and a big photo of the kit, and by the way, here's one link to their web site in case you’re interested.' Like I said, we were guilty of this as well but while working with our new Web Consultant in the development stage it became evident that the primary intent of these profiles should be to showcase the drummer and their band, and not to use them as an instrument to say 'Look how cool our drums are.' (pun intended) We have the Product Photo Galleries for that! (laughs)"
The site was designed and developed by Kevin B. Robbins, Senior Web Consultant for Dark Horse Percussion and Owner of Ironclad 360.
